DAY 1: The Need to Know: Messages of the first day concentrate on the overwhelming potential for negative
consequences of sex before marriage, a historical perspective to that current potential, and saving sex for
marriage (or abstinence) as the only certain prevention. The final segment for the day begins to breakdown
the health information on potential negative consequences beginning with Bacterial STD’s. |
|
DAY 2: The Epidemic of STD’s:
Messages for this day confirm the prevalence of sexually transmitted infection and disease is epidemic status, oral sex is sex, condoms offer some risk reduction to disease but do not eliminate the risk of disease. Medical slides of STDs, information about symptoms, outcomes, transmission, and treatment are part of the activities. |
|
DAY 3: Points of View (Teen Pregnancy):
Messages are teen pregnancy effects all persons in the teen’s life, there are no easy or attractive decisions for a teenager about being pregnant (or for guys, getting a girl pregnant), and only abstinence is certain for preventing pregnancy. You can view a portion of the teen mom’s perspective. |
|
DAY 4: Healthy Relationships:
Messages are sexual activity before marriage has emotional, social and mental consequences, healthy relationships such as friendship, dating, etc work well (possibly the best) without sex, human biochemistry suggests only the marriage (lifetime commitment, monogamous) relationship is enhanced through sex. Students consider basic factors or elements of healthy relationships. View the introduction to the day. |
|
DAY 5: Your Choice:
Messages are the importance of setting boundaries, how to do so, alcohol & drugs work against you, but you can save sex for marriage. Activities help with knowing high risk or “danger zones”, avoiding those by staying busy in productive tasks, and refusing advances or come-on’s for sex.
